Questions worth answering upfront
The things clinic owners actually ask before signing up -- not a generic support page.
Does the 7-day trial need a card?
No. Sign up and you're immediately at Professional-tier limits for 7 days. If you don't add a plan by the end of it, your account keeps working — it just returns to Starter's limits. Nothing you've entered is ever touched.
Is the price shown the final price?
Yes — no GST, no hidden fee. What's shown is exactly what's charged every cycle.
Can I change or cancel a plan later?
Any time, from Settings inside the app. Cancelling stops future billing; you keep access until the end of whatever period you've already paid for.
Where is patient data actually stored, and who can see it?
Every record is scoped to your clinic. Roles are enforced on the server, not just hidden in the interface — a receptionist login cannot read clinical notes even by guessing a URL.
Is Norcath built for hospitals or multi-branch chains?
No. Norcath is built for a single clinic running its own front desk — one doctor up to a full multi-doctor practice, not a hospital chain's IT department. See the overview for the full picture of what it is and isn't.
What happens to my prescriptions if I update my clinic's letterhead later?
Nothing. Every prescription is signed with a frozen copy of your letterhead at the moment it was created, so a later change to your clinic's details never rewrites something already signed.
Can I try it without giving payment details?
Yes. Sign up with just your clinic name, your name, an email and a password — no card, no payment details, for the full 7-day trial.
How do I see what's changed recently?
The product updates page lists what's shipped, most recent first — the same list a signed-in clinic sees under Help → What's new inside the app.
